UIE and Samsung support for BONDI
Check out the new release of the Samsung Mobile Widget SDK, built by UIEvolution. This release allows developers to build, emulate and test Samsung BONDI features with their Samsung widgets, with full documentation and code completion capabilities for BONDI APIs.
This release includes the following features:
Support for the BONDI JavaScript API’s – The BONDI modules supported are application configuration, application launcher, device status, file system, gallery, geo location, calendar, contact, task
New tabbed editor – The tabbed editor allows you to modify project configuration settings, add or remove BONDI features, and provide test data for running your widget in the emulator.
Emulator test data – This emulator test data allows you to quickly test and refine your widget before downloading to a device for final inspection.
Code completion for BONDI APIs – The editor provides valid options to complete the entire function call. It’s completed with placeholders for each parameter.
BONDI code documentation – Hovering over a function call will show the entire documentation for that specific function from the OMTP BONDI site.
Online documentation improvements – An additional chapter on writing a BONDI widget has been added to the included Help documentation.
New Wave device – Samsung GT-S8500 Wave device added into the device list.
Signed Widgets – The widget packaging function now automatically signs your widget. No additional actions are required.
Unicode support – The widget emulator has been enhanced to work better with Unicode directories and file names.
New Templates – Eight new BONDI-centric widget templates have been added.
Java 1.6. – The Samsung Mobile Widget SDK now takes advantage of the latest Java technology. Please make sure you have updated to Java 1.6.
