UIEvolution® has Agreed to be Acquired by Leading Interactive Entertainment Software Developer and Publisher, Square Enix

UIEngine assists with the development and delivery of mobile content across a multitude of wireless devices.

UIEvolution announced today that it has agreed to be acquired by Square Enix, an industry leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software that includes the world's most popular franchises, FINAL FANTASY® and Dragon Quest. The acquisition combines Square Enix's industry leading interactive media offerings with UIEvolution's proven proprietary software technology.

For Square Enix, the acquisition gives the company a strategic advantage in reaching multiple embedded, mobile, and broadband platforms. It allows Square Enix to immediately begin delivering new content experiences to its fan base in Japan, the United Stat es, Europe, and Asia. For UIEvolution, the acquisition extends the company's reach and its relationships with operators across the globe, allowing it to help its content developer customers more easily deliver their applications into global markets. It also gives UIEvolution greater access to capital, which the company will use for further research and development designed to enhance the already extensive capabilities of its innovative software solution.

All UIEvolution employees are expected to join Square Enix U.S.A., and they will remain in their current Bellevue, Wash., location.
