UIEvolution platform enables GoComics to deliver mobile comics to any wireless device

UIEvolution Inc., a provider of wireless software technology and development tools, and GoComics LLC, the leading provider of comic content for mobile phones, today announced they have partnered to deliver a wide range of new comic services for wireless devices.

GoComics offers a broad mix of popular comics for mobile phones, including Garfield, Doonesbury, FoxTrot, Opus, Ziggy and many more. The full line of comic-based wireless products features hundreds of comic strips, wallpapers, animations and greetings, used by millions of mobile users worldwide.

GoComics is releasing two new services powered by UIEvolution technology: GoComics Daily and GoComics Wallpapers.

GoComics Daily delivers daily comic strips featuring Garfield, FoxTrot, The Duplex, Pooch Cafe, Stone Soup, and Red and Rover. Those are the same comic strips as in today's newspapers, but offered in full color. This new entertainment application is available for both BREW and Java platforms, and is being released first on Sprint PCS and Verizon in the US, with new outlets to be announced shortly.

GoComics and UIEvolution are also releasing GoComics Wallpapers on Verizon and other BREW carriers. This application lets you browse and buy hundreds of fun wallpapers from GoComics, to personalize your mobile phone with your favorite comic characters.

GoComics Daily and GoComics Wallpapers offer subscribers a revolutionary new way to view comics on their phones, with quick, easy access and customized display. Simply select a comic icon to launch your favorite strip, which comes in full color and can be downloaded anytime, anywhere.
